I’ve been wondering, what if we could simplify this process with the help of generative AI? Imagine asking an LLM to write a script that does a number of things like opening up a couple thousand files, parsing them for specific information, and then drawing a graph. It sounds like a dream come true, right?
The idea is to have a ‘vibe data gathering’ approach where we can ask the AI to do the heavy lifting for us. ChatGPT is capable of doing this, but it needs to know the folder structure and examine the files to see what issues there are in collecting this information. The question is, can we do this without having to roll up our sleeves?
I think the potential is huge. With generative AI, we could automate many tasks that currently take up a lot of our time and energy. It’s not about replacing human judgment, but about augmenting our capabilities and making our lives easier.
