As I dug deeper into n8n’s allowed uses, I realized that collecting client keys and providing automation services, essentially ‘running n8n workflows for clients,’ isn’t permitted. This might come as a surprise to many of you trying to start small automation businesses and offering services using n8n.
I’ve seen many posts on this Reddit that seem to be using n8n in exactly this way, which could be violating their Terms of Service (TOS). The official documentation on the n8n website, specifically the ‘Sustainable Use License’ page, is a bit unclear and nuanced.

Let’s get to the bottom of this and ensure we’re using n8n in a way that aligns with their terms.
