To get a better understanding of this complex landscape, I decided to create a visual representation of electricity generation by source and country.
What struck me was the sheer scale of China’s energy consumption. Not only does it rely heavily on coal, but it’s also rapidly expanding its renewable energy capacity. This got me thinking – what does this mean for the future of global energy production?
The chart I created shows population on the x-axis and per capita energy on the y-axis. By combining data from two sources, I was able to paint a more complete picture of the global energy landscape.
