Uncovering Hidden Patterns in My Social Calendar

Uncovering Hidden Patterns in My Social Calendar

Hey there! Have you ever stopped to think about how you’re spending your time? I sure haven’t, until recently. I decided to dive into some data analysis on my social calendar from 2021. I’ve tracked all my social events, from casual dinners to club nights, and I’m excited to share my findings with you.

First things first, I formatted my data into neat columns: activity name, date, month and year, and type of activity. If an event spanned multiple days, like a festival or holiday, I gave each day its own row. I’ve also done some data cleaning to get everything in order.

Now, my goal is to visualize how busy I am over time. Just from a quick glance at my calendar, I’ve realized I’ve only had two weekends with zero social commitments the entire year! But here’s the thing: I’m struggling to create a graph that accurately shows my activity count per month. The issue is that if I didn’t have any events in a particular month, the graph skips right over it. And to make things more complicated, my month and year column is in a funny format, making it hard to sort from earliest to latest.

I know these might be basic questions, but I’d love some insights or ideas on how to make this work. What kind of graphs could I create to showcase my social calendar? Any tips on how to overcome these hurdles would be greatly appreciated.

So, have you ever analyzed your social calendar? What did you learn about yourself? Share your experiences in the comments below!
