I recently landed an internship at a great company and was lucky enough to receive a return offer. The package includes an hourly salary of $81k, a 3.5% 401k match, a 3% annual raise, and a decent health insurance plan. The work environment is relaxed, and I enjoy my time there. However, the location is not ideal, being in the middle of nowhere.
I had to make a decision within a week, and I ended up accepting the offer. Now, I’m wondering if I should continue exploring other job opportunities or if I should be content with what I have.
On one hand, it’s a great offer, and I should be grateful for the opportunity. On the other hand, I might be missing out on other better opportunities that could be a better fit for me.
I’ve heard stories of people who received multiple offers and ended up declining the initial one for a better deal. But I’ve also heard that it’s considered unprofessional to decline an offer after accepting it.
So, I’m torn. Should I keep looking, or should I be satisfied with what I have?
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you do, and what were the consequences?
