I just got done reading about the release of ChatGPT 5, and I have to say, the minimal improvements compared to previous versions really stood out to me. It made me think about the idea of exponential growth in Large Language Models (LLMs). I think we’ve reached a point where the hype around AI has diverged from its original objective – to help speed up and reduce workload, not replace human jobs entirely.
It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement, but when you take a step back, you realize we’re not quite there yet. AI was meant to assist, not lead. And let’s be honest, it’ll never be trusted enough to take over entire jobs.
I know I might sound too conclusive, but history tends to repeat itself. We’ve seen this pattern before, and it’s a flag worth raising. It’s essential to keep things in perspective and remember what AI was initially designed to do.
So, what do you think? Are we getting too caught up in the hype, or is there still hope for AI to live up to its promises?
