I recently watched the GPT-5 launch, and I have to admit, I felt a bit underwhelmed. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was hoping for a massive step up, something that would truly feel like a ‘next level’ moment. Instead, it felt more like an incremental improvement. Am I alone in feeling this way?
I think part of the reason I felt this way is that the AI space has been moving so fast lately. We’ve seen so many impressive advancements in the past year or two, and I think I was expecting GPT-5 to be a game-changer. But in reality, it’s more of an evolution than a revolution.
That being said, I do think GPT-5 is still a significant improvement over its predecessors. The tech is getting better, and we’re seeing more practical applications of AI in our daily lives. It’s just that, for me, the launch didn’t quite live up to the hype.
So, what do you think? Did you feel the same way about the GPT-5 launch, or am I just being too critical? Let me know in the comments!
