Have you ever stopped to think about how much of our personal income goes towards healthcare? The numbers are staggering. As the graphic below shows, healthcare as a portion of personal consumption expenditures in the US has been steadily increasing over the years.
What’s even more surprising is that this trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. In fact, it’s projected to continue rising in the coming years.
This got me thinking – what are the implications of this trend? Are we as a society placing too much emphasis on healthcare, or is this a necessary evil?
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think we should be allocating more of our personal income towards healthcare, or are there other areas that deserve more attention?
