Have you ever noticed that when you switch to Advanced mode, the responses from AI models seem shorter, less engaging, and more cautious? You’re not alone. I’ve experienced the same thing, and it’s frustrating because it feels like I’m talking to a customer service rep instead of having a real conversation.
In Standard mode, the responses are longer, more creative, and actually engage with what I’m saying. It’s like having a discussion with someone who’s genuinely interested in the topic. But Advanced mode seems to default to bland, generic responses that shut down the conversation instead of exploring topics in depth.
I think this is because Advanced mode is designed to be more ‘professional’ and ‘safe.’ But for those of us who use AI to brainstorm creative ideas, talk about characters we’ve made up, or explore different perspectives, this mode just doesn’t cut it. We need a mode that’s more dynamic, more engaging, and more willing to take risks.
So, is it just me, or does Advanced mode feel like a different model from Standard? And if so, is there any way to make it respond more like Standard mode? I’m asking because I know Standard is going away, and I don’t want to lose that deeper, more dynamic style of interaction.
Maybe it’s time for AI developers to rethink what we mean by ‘Advanced’ and ‘Professional’ modes. Maybe we need a mode that’s more geared towards creatives, thinkers, and explorers – people who want to have real conversations with AI, not just get generic answers.
