I recently stumbled upon Windsurf, a tool that lets you build web applications with the help of an AI agent. It was a game-changer – my productivity skyrocketed! But it got me thinking: why isn’t there a similar tool for data scientists? Imagine having an agent that can execute cells one by one, making plots, studying data, and modifying outliers, all while adjusting the plan as it goes. It would be a dream come true for data scientists.
The current workflow involves a lot of manual work, from creating predictive models to testing them. It’s time-consuming and often prone to errors. But what if we had a tool that could automate most of this process, freeing us up to focus on higher-level thinking? It’s not just about increasing productivity; it’s about making data science more accessible and enjoyable.
I’m not alone in thinking this. Many data scientists struggle with the same issues, and it’s time we had a solution. That’s why I’m proposing the idea of building a Cursor/Windsurf for notebooks and Google Collab. It’s a ambitious project, but I believe it’s worth it.
