As a fellow adventurer, I’m excited to introduce you to the Aarakari, a new player species I’ve created for 5E. Imagine a humanoid parrot creature, standing upright with two legs and two arms, completely covered in feathers, with bird-like feet and sharp talons. Their heads closely resemble those of typical parrots, complete with large, curved beaks.
What makes the Aarakari truly special? Let’s dive in:
Abilities
– Flight: Just like the Aarakocra, Aarakari can take to the skies and soar through the air.
– Talons: Their sharp talons on both feet and hands grant them an edge in unarmed combat.
– Mimicry: Like the Kenku, Aarakari can mimic voices and sounds they’ve heard, with an unmatched memory to boot.
– Keen Sight: Their bird-like vision gives them an advantage when perceiving their surroundings, allowing them to even hone in their vision for Advantage on a limited number of checks per Short Rest.
