I recently landed my first job as a data scientist, and I’m feeling overwhelmed. The company is all about staying ahead of the AI curve, and they want my team to explore deploying AI agents for specific use cases. The problem is, my background is in traditional machine learning, not agentic AI or LLM-based systems. I’m worried about meeting expectations and feeling out of my depth.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you quickly get up to speed with newer techniques like agentic AI? Any advice on learning resources, mindset tips, or career advice would be greatly appreciated.
I’m not alone, right?
