Is My Resume the Problem? Zero Internship Responses in AI/ML Engineering

As a final-year engineering student in AI engineering, I’m feeling stuck with my internship applications. I’ve applied to numerous AI/ML engineering internships, both locally and internationally, but I’m getting zero responses or rejections. I believe my resume has solid projects and relevant skills, including AI/ML projects I’m proud of. But I’m wondering if there’s something wrong with my resume that’s causing this lack of response.

I’ve asked myself several questions: Is my resume template not recruiter-friendly? Is it too long or too detailed, focusing on the wrong things? Unfortunately, I don’t have people in my circle with experience in AI/ML or recruitment to provide me with feedback.

That’s why I’m seeking honest, constructive advice from people working in AI/ML engineering or with recruitment experience. What do you usually look for in an AI/ML candidate’s resume? Should I prioritize showcasing impact over details? How can I make my resume stand out in a competitive field?

If you’re working in AI/ML engineering or have experience in recruitment, I’d appreciate your input. Help me identify what’s going wrong and how I can improve my resume to increase my chances of landing an internship.
