As I’m about to embark on my PhD journey, I’m aware that time is of the essence. With only three years to complete my research and publish papers, I’m keen to learn from those who have successfully managed their time and produced high-quality research.
My goal is to publish multiple papers in top conferences, build a strong network, and develop excellent interpersonal skills. But I’m aware that it won’t be easy, especially with teaching duties and collaborations thrown into the mix.
So, I’m turning to experienced PhD researchers and asking: how do you do it? How do you manage to publish 1-2 papers per year, while also juggling other responsibilities and dealing with the often-arbitrary review process?
Did you develop a system for breaking down your research into multiple publications, or do you have a knack for identifying methods that will yield significant results? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any advice you can offer to someone just starting out.
By sharing your strategies and insights, you can help me and others like me make the most of our PhD journey and set ourselves up for success.
