I still can’t believe it. Just 7 months ago, I was a lawyer with no tech background. Today, I’m the founder of a company that’s about to launch a customizable anime AI companion platform in beta. And it all started with something called ‘vibe coding’.
I know it sounds crazy, but bear with me. I was messing around with vibe coding in late 2024, trying to build something from scratch. My first attempt was a disaster – I obsessed over security features and the backend got too heavy. The second attempt wasn’t much better. But each time I failed, I learned more.
## The Lessons of Vibe Coding
I like to call my failed projects ‘lessons’. There are about 6 archived GitHub repos that I learned from. And the biggest lesson I learned? AI will lie to you – often.
But I didn’t give up. I kept trying, and eventually, I created an MVP of a customizable AI companion platform that uses fully customizable 3D models. I incorporated a few open-source tools into my tech stack, and it was enough to impress a venture firm. They invested 7 figures in my project, and now I lead a team of actual engineers who are polishing my code.
## From Solo Founder to Government Partnerships
It’s surreal to think about. I’ve gone from working alone in my room to speaking with governments about partnering to use this agentic companion platform to grow AI innovation in their country. I’ve even got a meeting with the VA set up and spoke at the National Institute of Health.
## Launching Next Month
The hard work inspires me to push on, and we’re launching the early access beta next month. I’m excited to share it with the world and see how people will use it.
So, ask me anything you want to know about my journey from lawyer to tech founder.
