As a software developer at a construction company, I’ve been working on internal systems and improving workflows. Now, I have an opportunity to interview for a Technical Client Services Associate role at a JPMorgan Chase subsidiary. But my ultimate goal is to become a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or move into DevOps. I’m wondering if this new role can be a stepping stone to get me there.
I’m seeking advice from those who have experience in similar roles. Is it possible to transition from Technical Client Services to SRE or DevOps? Is this new role worth switching to, or is it just a call center job in disguise?
I’m eager to hear from others who have made similar career moves. Can you share your experiences and insights? How did you make the transition, and what skills did you need to acquire?
I’m excited about the possibility of working with a prestigious company like JPMorgan Chase, but I don’t want to sacrifice my long-term career goals. I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts and advice.
