As a cybersecurity professional, I’ve relied on Large Language Models (LLMs) for years to analyze threats, script automations, and handle complex prompts on a daily basis. I’ve tried several LLMs, and I’m sharing my experiences to help you make an informed decision.
I started with the free ChatGPT, which was great for quick reads with its clean and visually appealing outputs. However, after upgrading to ChatGPT Plus for 5-6 months, I encountered too many hallucinations and false information, making it unreliable for my daily tasks.
Next, I tried Gemini and Perplexity Pro for a year, but they were poor for tasks like writing code or automating workflows. Perplexity Pro excelled in searches and fact-checks with no hallucinations, but that was about it.
I recently purchased Grok, which is affordable in India (700 rupees). Unfortunately, Grok-3 was the worst I’ve tried, with sloppy and unreliable outputs. Grok-4 was decent but very slow, affecting my productivity.
I haven’t tried Claude yet, as the free tier is too limited for my heavy prompts. So, I’m left wondering which LLM to choose for the next month: Claude Pro, Super Grok, or back to ChatGPT Plus?
Key Considerations for Cybersecurity Professionals
– Less hallucinations: Accuracy is crucial in cybersecurity. I need an LLM that provides reliable information.
– Speed: I work on complex tasks daily, so I need an LLM that can keep up with my pace.
– Cost: As a professional, I’m willing to invest in the right tool, but I need to consider the cost-benefit ratio.
