I recently stumbled upon an impressive project where someone attempted to clone Grok’s Ani, a 3D animated character. Although it’s still rough around the edges, the emotions system works surprisingly well, and the face and TTS sync up nicely.
What caught my attention was how ELPascalito used the player2 app to utilize a free LLM and TTS for both text and sound. This means you can install the app, play the game, and it’ll autodetect the player2 AI. The best part? It’s open source, and the creator is encouraging others to join forces to create a better version of this 3D tech for free.
