As a student working on a final year project, I’m excited to explore the possibilities of creating a lab virtual assistant that can communicate in Kinyarwanda, a relatively low-resource language. However, I’ve hit a roadblock – finding a reliable Text-to-Speech (TTS) solution for Kinyarwanda.
I’m not alone in this struggle. Many languages, especially those with limited digital resources, face similar challenges. But I believe that with the right tools and support, we can break down these barriers and create more inclusive technology.
